Hard to say.
I do not use screen and tbh I don't really know where to start to find the
issue.
It would be interesting to see if there are other emulators in which the
problem also occurs.

I have to say, I just tried and it works? I even ssh'd into another machine,
reattached an old screen, and it still works. I'll keep testing other
