This is a problem that makes Konsole harder to use every day for me - if we
don't have a strong usecase to prefer the changed behaviour, perhaps it's
easier to reverse :)

Colours wouldn't work, as I open SSH sessions to many different hosts, it's not
a smaller set.
Splitting wouldn't work as I prefer to work with fullscreen windows 99% of the
time.

Probably a similar bug report from someone saying "my tab names are all the
same at the end and get elided into invisibility; all the interesting stuff is
at the beginning!"
