The reference to 5.10.5 was for the Plasma version. Qt only released version
5.10.0, and you would need to test this version.

qt is still on 5.9.2
according to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386846, errors appear also
with qt 5.10.5.
My peculiar problem can be worked around by killing the vnc session and
restarting the vnc
