            Bug ID: 430308
Summary: Multiple mouse cursors in second Wayland user
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.20.4
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: gra...@gottcode.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The mouse cursor for the first Wayland user shows up for the second Wayland
user after waking up monitor from sleep.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login to Wayland session.
2. Switch to different Linux user and login to second Wayland session.
3. Switch back to first user.
4. Wait for monitor to shut off.
5. Wake from sleep.
6. Switch back to second user.

OBSERVED RESULT
The second user sees both their mouse cursor--which they can control--and the
mouse cursor from the first user.

EXPECTED RESULT
The second user should only see their own mouse cursor.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.9.13-arch1-1
OS Type: 64-bit

Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 460 Graphics
Kernel module: amdgpu
OpenGL version: 4.6 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 20.3.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can work around this by having both users use software cursors by enabling
the environment variable KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR for both logins.

This bug happens whether both users are started from a terminal or from SDDM
logins. It has happened every time I have tried Wayland with both Arch Linux
and Kubuntu, not just with the versions listed above. It has never happened
with X11.
