Bug ID: 366463 Summary: Regression: Installer crash cause grub-efi-amd64-signed could not be installed Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Live/Install images Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: j1563...@trbvm.com CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Built image from yesterday is not installing on my Dell Venue 11 Pro, because grub-efi-amd64-signed could not be installed. Either there is an error messsage and the installer crashes after clicking OK, or the installation completes without error message, but no boot loader is installed / configured and the systems is just showing the Grub2 shell after reboot. Dells UEFI implementation tend to be buggy and currently only Fedora is able to create a boot entry. For all other distros I have to select the file grubx64.uefi directly in UEFI in order to boot. But every other distro can at least complete the installation, even Neon did this with the previous installation images. But the current one is mostly crashing. neon-useredition-20160804-1018-amd64.iso Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the live image 2. Try to complete the installation 3. Actual Results: Installer crashes after confirmation of the appearing error message "grub-efi-amd64-signed could not be installed" Expected Results: No crash Was working with the previous installation images, but those are no longer available. Only the current broken one neon-useredition-20160804-1018-amd64.iso can be downloaded. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
