STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run KDE NEon
2. Plug in a projector

OBSERVED RESULT
The colours and icons disappear from the desktop. Ultimately crashing Dolphin
too.
No problem without a projector. to recover, you need to remove the projector
and reboot.
Using Lenovo T430 connect the monitor through the display port.
EXPECTED RESULT
Normal action - This has been working fine until about 1 month ago.
