Bug ID: 466003 Summary: New KDE popup app to inform users of new features with vote buttons Classification: Plasma Product: plasma-integration Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: r.griff...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** I have seen multiple conversations on matrix regarding bad feedback for new issues, today i saw that someone commented that there were many complaints (about new border shown, on reddit mostly) and said no-one knows how many liked it so I had an idea: KDE could have an app that can show popups to the user when a new feature has been added. ie "Borders have been added in order to ..... see here for more info" This popup would also have a vote button, yay or nay, and it could come up again maybe a week later with another vote after the user had spent more time. This popup has more uses but this is the idea I see for now. In my view, users would be pleased to be notified, pleased that the notification is personal, pleased that they can vote, pleased that they can click something for more info ie the mr, and would be more aware before redditing thus reducing collateral damage from speedy and ignorant complaints. On the KDE side, you gain exact awareness, not hearsay only seeing one side, and you get stats. I guess there's more too but that's my thinking for now. I hope this is helpful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
