Bug ID: 403653 Summary: Random, complete desktop crashes when Wayland is used Product: plasmashell Version: 5.14.5 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: generic-wayland Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: kurko2...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Flags: Wayland+ Created attachment 117676 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=117676&action=edit dmesg and coredump information (I'm not sure if Plasmashell is the correct category for this - please change it if needed.) When KDE desktop is used with Wayland, the desktop sometimes crashes completely and returns to the SDDM login screen. Most processes of the user are also terminated when this happens. This occurs randomly and not very often. The desktop may work for hours before it crashes. The crash may occur at any moment. I haven't noticed any specific actions that lead to crash. Please note that render loop is set to Basic in "kcmshell5 qtquicksettings" as suggested in the comments of bug #396614 Some dmesg and core dump information is attached. This time only drkonqi appeared in the core dumps. Sometimes other processes appear as well.
