On an openSUSE Linux installation, the "Create New" document items for Libre
Office files are missing (see e.g.

Thus, I tried to add them manually, and found this tutorial for KDE4:

It would be helpful, if there was a relative obvious way of adding a new file
as template for the "Create New" menu.
