Mouse is on "Development", but "Favourites" is selected
SUMMARY
I know that this is vague (sorry 😅), but this has been annoying me for a long
time and made me think that plasma is slow several times in the past (no, I
know that is not the case, but the sluggishness gave a bad impression).
Basically moving between the categories with the mouse feels slow, sometimes it
even fails to register the correct menu (see screenshot). Most of the times
there is a sizeable delay when switching categories it isn't rare for my mouse
to be half way through the button when it lights up (when I expect it to do so
as soon as the pointer reaches it)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kickoff
2. Hover over different categories
OBSERVED RESULT
Categories under the cursor are selected after a delay
EXPECTED RESULT
Categories under the cursor are selected instantly

Operating System: Garuda Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Although I am reporting this on a laptop with the specs above, this has
happened from a 2013 Lenovo 2 in-one to a Ryzen 2600, Gtx 1660ti gaming PC. I
am pretty sure power isn't the bottle neck (navigating with the arrow keys is
smooth as well)
