Summary: Very high memory usage on plasmashell after glibc
                    update on arch linux
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.26.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major

  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
***
After a system update and reboot, plasmashell had 23GB memory usage. This
happens both in Wayland and Xorg. Downgrading glibc from 2.37-2 to 2.36-7
stopped this behavior.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install KDE on latest version of Arch linux
2. restart system and check memory usage

OBSERVED RESULT
plasmashell uses almost all free memory (23GB).

EXPECTED RESULT
plasmashell should use reasonable amount of memory.

Linux/KDE Plasma: kernel 6.1.9-arch1-2
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
