STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag an icon from the icon only task manager onto the desktop
2. Choose: Widgets -> Add Icon
3. Enter Edit Mode
4. Drag the Widget onto the panel
OBSERVED RESULT
There's a selection region visible on the desktop, which does not vanish.
