If anyone wondering, you must let the "start with an empty session" selected.
Selected it will not clear the corrupted state.

I was able to find it thanks to some community guidance.
Settings > Desktop Session > Changed to start with an empty session.
That cleared everything out.

I have the same issue, also on Fedora. Would not have used the feature anyway,
but was confused what was going on when the same applications were opened
regardless of what I had opened before reboot. Finally
