            Bug ID: 489051
Summary: Please add mouse wiggle (and/or button) to activate
                    cursor highlighting
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 6.0.5
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: t...@gmx.de
                CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

With the tiny cursor in some apps
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=489049), a way to spot the cursor without
using keyboard shortcuts is sorely needed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run KDE
2. Try to find an option to set Mouse Tracking to "by mouse wiggle" or similar.

OBSERVED RESULT

Only keyboard shortcuts are offered to highlight the cursor.

EXPECTED RESULT

An option to activate cursor highlighting by a) mouse wiggle and b) a
selectable mouse button.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240621
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1
Kernel Version: 6.9.5-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It interrupts the 'flow' when the cursor is barely visible and one has to press
some key, esp. when modifiers are required because all the unmodified keys are
indispensably assigned to other actions.

If one hand is on the mouse and the other, e.g., on pen and paper, a smooth
work would require an extra hand. Not to mention one-handed handicapped
users...
