Bug ID: 492456 Summary: When the floating effect of the panel is enabled, the bottom part of the application in the maximized window is hidden. Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.1.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: gotman...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 173169 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=173169&action=edit The bottom part of the application in the maximized window is hidden. SUMMARY If you run some application in a maximized window with a floating panel, then a small lower part of the program window will be hidden behind the panel. There will be no hiding if the panel is already pinned to the bottom of the screen. The window starts to display normally if you hover over the icons on the panel or open another window in the application itself (for example, in Kate when opening Help-About KDE) or switch the language with hot keys. Also, hiding may disappear on its own after some time (within one minute, as far as I have observed). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable floating panel effect. 2. Launch some application in the expanded window. OBSERVED RESULT The bottom part of the maximized application window is hidden behind the panel. EXPECTED RESULT The maximized application window must be fully displayed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Current video driver version: NVIDIA 560.35.03. Unable to reproduce the bug when screen recording is enabled (the window is displayed normally). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
