            Bug ID: 420649
Summary: Wish: when adding a new printer, show the detected
printer name when selecting a driver
           Product: print-manager
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: dantt...@gmail.com
          Reporter: dyl...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When adding a Printer, the Systemsettings do a great job in detecting the
printers on the network. It lists me the printer like "HP Color LaserJet
MFP-blah-foo". Then I select the printer and next, I have to pick a driver.

Problem: I *always* forget the correct type name and number, i.e. the
"blah-foo". Since most printers advertise their brand, type and variant name in
their name, it would be a really great enhancement, if the "Pick a Driver"
dialogue in the Printer adding would show me the detected printer name.

Like: "Pick a driver for the printer: HP Color LaserJet MFP-blah-foo".

Thx!
