Probably not, it's KWaylandServer which tied to KWin closely.

I do not remember exactly which point release of 5.32.x was buggy on my
machine. Probably the bug appeared after 5.23.2.

I get the same result testing with Konsole and 'Test area' field of the KCM.
Plasma 5.23.x had the same bug on my machine.
