STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. in LXQT settings go to brightness
2. use the two sliders to set brightness.
3.
OBSERVED RESULT
system was hanging in a loop while displaying the slider goes to dark setting.
system looping several times between start setting of slider to end setting,
resulting in a black screen.
EXPECTED RESULT
a less bright screen, not black
