Zur Übersetzung von "Move to Trash" gab es schon mal eine Diskussion über
"werfen" oder "verschieben", damals noch in den Mülleimer:

https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/kde-i18n-de/2007-December/005944.html

Meinungen?

I am observing this myself after upgrading to Plasma 5.21. I find that this
only occurs under multi-screen setups with KWin operating in OpenGL mode.
Interestingly, this issue stops immediately when my displays are top-aligned in
the layout config. Any deviation from this causes the problem once more after
cycling compositing.

Testing procedure used:
1. Change screen arrangement in the Display Configuration KCM
2. Restart compositing (Alt+Shift+F12 twice)

See attachments to see example layouts that cause the issue as well as one that
doesn't.

[kwin] [Bug 435492] comic: wayland: popout mode: touchpad scrolling almost doesn't

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435492

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #4)
> What do you mean by popout mode exactly? I don't see any scroll behavior at
> all on the applet's view on Wayland. Maybe that's the bug. :)

I was wondering what to call it and popout mode is the best I came up with,
hoping the meaning would be self-evident given it was specified (as opposed to
normal display mode which there'd be no need to specify), but "self-evident" it
obviously wasn't.

What I mean is the center-click/center-button-click mode where it pops out the
comic by itself (well, with a drop-shadow) into the center of the screen at
original comic resolution (the config checkbox label says "Middle-click on
comic to display at original size", but doesn't mention that it pops out into a
separate window in the middle of the screen). Fine when the comic resolution
is below that of the screen. When it's not, scrolling is supposed to be
possible, and it works on X, but on wayland, at least with a touchpad, not so
much.

(If it matters the touchpad is an original Logitech t650 (wireless rechargable,
using the same USB unifying receiver as my Logitech wireless keyboard), which
wikipedia says came out in 2012, matching my feeling that I'd been using it
nearly a decade. (I don't have a traditional desk so there's no place for a
traditional mouse to roam.))

2021-04-09 Thread akb825
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435561

After some more experimentation, the behavior of whether the dialog disappears
and openconnect writes the cookie error to the journal, or whether it has the
"unknown code" error in the dialog, appears to be inconsistent. In other words,
relying on parsing the group from the gateway and using the xmlconfig gives the
same results.

This behavior was using the "Pulse Connect Secure" protocol. When using the
"Juniper Network Connect" protocol any connection over the VPN times out when
providing the usergroup. (even ones that give a forbidden error when not
connected to the VPN at all)

Yes. That is the currently re-producable behavior.

> * If you unplug the working monitor, I assume the other one stays blank?

Correct

> * Are you waiting with booting the laptop while it's connected to the

If I cold boot after previously having used a working X11 session then I am
presented with 3 (correctly) working monitors when being greeted by SDDM.

If I select a plasma x11 session then all is fine. If however I choose a
wayland session then I have only 2 / 3 monitors available for selection.

If I plug in the TB dock when the laptop is in a suspended state with a sing
currently active wayland session (i.e from previously logging in -performing
work and then closing the lid), on resuming I will only have 2/3 monitors to
choose from.

[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 435420] kglobalaccel5 autostarts in LXQt too, when it shouldn't

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435420

(In reply to prash from comment #8)

After a bit of triangulating, it appears that merely opening a KDE app will not
autostart kglobalaccel5. On a fresh session, when I opened Okular, there were
no processes that were out of the ordinary. However, the moment I did a
File->Open or File->Open Recent from there, I got something like this:

12590 /usr/lib/kactivitymanagerd
12599 /usr/bin/kglobalaccel5

Of course, dolphin starts these processes too.

Again, on fresh sessions, KCalc, KCharSelect, KDiff3, Kompare did not trigger
kactivitymanagerd or kglobalaccel5, even after performing a File->Open or an
equivalent. I have no idea why both dolphin and okular would repeatably trigger
these.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 435561] Cannot specify usergroup for OpenConnect VPNs

2021-04-09 Thread akb825
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435561

After looking through the code, it looks like it *is* trying to parse the group
from the gateway. However, attempting to do this fails to connect. No error is
reported in the UI, it simply closes the dialog and isn't connected to the VPN.
When viewing the log from journalctl, openconnect reported the error "Pulse
authentication cookie not accepted". Using the exact same URL (copy/pasted to
avoid typos) works with the openconnect command in a terminal.

I additionally found that you can set an "xmlconfig" element in vpn-secrets
section with a base64 XML configuration. When attempting to set the
tag, I get the following error in the UI: "Pulse password request with unknown
code 0x00. Please report."

Sorry, I wrote to soon. The change to kaccess.desktop only partially fixes the
problem. kglobalaccel5 no longer autostarts on login, but it starts the moment
I start dolphin. Presumably, many other KDE apps might trigger it to start too.

Sorry, this is impossible implement. Also, if I understand correctly, client
uses GTK2 under the hood. If it is true, then I think the developers should

[systemsettings] [Bug 421743] Realm option missing when connecting to Jumper/Pulse VPN via OpenConnect and NetworkManager.

>From what I can tell, the method of specifying the connection has changed in
the VPN itself.

The realm was passed as a form parameter previously, which was able to be
parsed to create a combo box in the UI. However, this is now provided with the
usergroup parameter rather than the form. In other words, the information to
display the UI is no longer being passed when connecting, and the usergroup
parameter must be passed explicitly instead.

Unfortunately there appears to be no way to actually set the usergroup, so I'm
still stuck unable to choose the "tunnel-all" connection type. I have created a
separate bug (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435561) to capture this
issue.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 435561] New: Cannot specify usergroup for OpenConnect VPNs

2021-04-09 Thread akb825
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435561

Bug ID: 435561
Summary: Cannot specify usergroup for OpenConnect VPNs
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.21.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: akb...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The usergroup cannot be specified for OpenConnect VPNs. For example, my company
provides a "default" connection, which routes specific domains through the VPN,
and a "tunnel-all" connection, which routes all traffic.

Typically the usergroup would be specified by the URL. For example,
https://vpn.mycompany.com/tunnel-all. When using the openconnect command-line,
you can use the "--usergroup=tunnel-all" command-line option.

Attempting to pass the usergroup to the gateway address (e.g.
vpn.mycompany.com/tunnel-all) fails, since it expects it to only be a hostname.
Ideally, either the usergroup would be parsed from the gateway address or a
separate field would be available to specify it.

[plasmashell] [Bug 435560] New: Add an option to ask for action when double-clicking on script file

2021-04-09 Thread popov895
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435560

Bug ID: 435560
Summary: Add an option to ask for action when double-clicking
on script file
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.21.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: popov...@ukr.net
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

When "Open by double-clicking" option is enabled, double-clicking on a script
file executes it, which is unsafe (the same for single-clicking, when that
option is disabled). It is necessary to add an option (like in the Dolphin)
that allows the user to choose what to do with the file being opened: execute,
open in a text editor or always ask.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create a script file on the desktop, for example:

> #!/bin/bash
> touch test.txt
2. Open it by double-clicking (or single-clicking, depending on whether the
"Open by double-clicking" option is enabled or not)

OBSERVED RESULT

Script file is executed

EXPECTED RESULT

The user is asked for what to do with the script file

"I see a similar behaviour (no OSD), but only when the keyboard shortcut is

Whereas now we seem don't have OSD in both shortcut cases - thus, a regression.

[Breeze] [Bug 435558] New: Allow different gtk theme per application

2021-04-09 Thread Pawel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435558

Bug ID: 435558
Summary: Allow different gtk theme per application
   Product: Breeze
   Version: 5.21.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: gtk theme
  Assignee: uhh...@gmail.com
  Reporter: bednarczyk.pa...@outlook.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Currently, the GNOME/GTK application style applies to all applications. It
would be useful to select a theme per application. For example, certain GTK
applications such as vmware horizon client require the default style to look
half-decent. See here:

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-Client-for-Linux/2103/rn/horizon-client-linux-2103-release-notes.html#knownissues

Because Horizon Client for Linux uses the Linux operating system's GNOME theme,
the Horizon Client for Linux authentication domain list, the
desktop/application protocol list, and display list appear black on some of the
Linux operating systems, making it difficult to read any of these lists.

Workaround: Change the GNOME theme used by the Linux operating system. For
example, on an Ubuntu system, install gnome-tweak-tool if it is not yet
installed, run gnome-tweak-tool, and change the GTK+ theme from Ambiance to
Radiance.

On the other hand the default style looks silly with other GTK apps which do
support dark themes.

[krusader] [Bug 435557] New: Wrong dates (2106-02-07) and times after entering rar archives

2021-04-09 Thread Toni Asensi Esteve
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435557

Bug ID: 435557
Summary: Wrong dates (2106-02-07) and times after entering rar
archives
   Product: krusader
   Version: Git
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: krarc
  Assignee: krusader-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: toni.ase...@kdemail.net
CC: krusader-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I found a lot of files that had the same date: 7/02/06 ("06" meaning "year
2106") and the same time: 7:28. In more details:
ls --full-time FILE
[...] 2106-02-07 07:28:15.0 +0100 FILE

How could it be? Finally, it turned out that if Krusader is used to enter any
rar archive, its files are seen with the aforementioned time and date and then
uncompressing those files leaves them with that time and date.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Use Krusader to enter a rar file, like:
- https://defsol.com/ftp/abs/fddev230.rar (with files from the year
1997)
-
https://es.osdn.net/frs/g_redir.php?m=jaist=dockit%2FOldFiles%2Fsample.rar
(with files from 2000 and 2005)
- https://dubhe.workupload.com/download/zMR4vIPW(with files from 2015
and 2016)
and see the same (wrong) date and time. Select some of them and copy them in
e.g. /tmp. See that they also have a wrong date and time.

EXPECTED RESULTS
The dates and times of the listed files (and the dates and times of the
extracted files) should be the original ones.

Yeah, having https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/579 implemented would fix it.
Also, you can fix it for yourself by setting ReuseSession=true to your SDDM
config file. This is supposedly the new default setting in SDDM, so one of the
following is happening:

1. It's broken in SDDM and is not actually the new default setting (boo)
2. Arch is overriding it by shipping a config file that sets it to false
3. You or something else manually set it to false in your locla config file.

Either way, not a KDE issue. :)

The "Default" profile is the built-in/immutable/fallback profile; it can't be
modified, instead a new profile is created (which is a copy of the fallback
one); so, this is per design (we've had a plethora of bugs related to the
editing of the Default profile).

Git commit ad9b66395bd58c1398c6ab5485b71c8fb8b3ae2b by Nate Graham, on behalf
of Shantanu Tushar.
Committed on 09/04/2021 at 19:53.
Pushed by ngraham into branch 'master'.

Config option to adjust font size

The font size is often too small if you have the notes on a smaller
secondary screen (laptop next to a monitor, for example). Being able to
set a font size for the notes is very useful in this case.

Now that you've got a preliminary patch, I would recommend submitting it! It's
okay if it's not perfect, but it's much easier to do code review on GitLab than
here in the bug report. :) Here's the documentation:

[kcms] Sort grid view KCMs case insensitively

Since these KCMs can display user and distro provided content, we can't
ensure that everything will begin with a capital letter. Accordingly, we
should sort the grid case-insensitively to prevent the entries starting
with lowercase letters from being shunted to the end.

I am using openSUSE Tumbleweed snapshot 20210406 on x64. I've tried to launch
spectacle 20.12.3-1.2 with various launch parameters:
- QTA_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland spectacle
- QTA_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb spectacle
- GDK_BACKEND=x11 spectacle
- GDK_BACKEND=wayland spectacle
but none allows me to use spectacle's rectangular snapshot feature. All other
snaphot features work, however. No matter how I launch it, spectacle with crash
upon using the rectangular snapshot with this message:
```
Error calling KWin DBus interface:
