Found that this corruption is limited to Firefox Nightly. Switching to the
normal release fixed it.

Just looked, I'm not using Breeze so it's probably a theme issue. I tried
Breeze and it follows the translucency/opaqueness setting just fine.

On my end, it looks like the Media Player widget isn't calling
`org.mpris.MediaPlayer2.Player.Seek()` or `SetPosition()` via D-Bus.
