as Volker said, without any alternative, we can't just ban QNAM.
And even with one, we would need time to implement it (for example,
for GCompris, this part of the code was written by someone who is less
active now, so rewriting it, testing it and be sure it works will take

https://community.kde.org/SoK/Ideas/2023 is created for mentors to add
their ideas.
If you are adding an idea, please remember to put your own contact
information in the description as the mentor. Do not add ideas with no
mentor and contact

for GCompris, we don't have a lot of MR and even if some are old, we still
plan to take over them at some point (we know which ones are unmaintained)
so I think it's preferable to not add messages.
In a general manner, as said by Carl, MR should not be closed automatically.
