No GDM here.
Using default distro of PC-BSD 9.1-RC1 as install. No recompilations or
upgrades.
Using Nvidia GT5xx chipsets and Radeon 4 chipsets.
KDE is running beautifully on 4 different desktops. No CPU or resource issues.

I just cvsup'd my ports tree. I performed a ports upgrade after checking
UPDATING and there was nothing about issues with KDE 4.6.4. However, I went to

recently updated to all new FreeBSD 8.0 stable and ports tree. Machine was
entirely rebuilt. 8 GB AMD 64 machine running ZFS and about 600 packages
installed.
