Hi Stari
For me plasma5 works great (I'm using it as my main desktop since ~2years).
kde-workspace4 is a longterm release (since a long time).
Issues with kde are best reported here, because else, it might get
overlooked.

Hi Steve
Thank you very much. That should come in quite handy.
It would be great if you could extend that to the (active) "experimental
branches" -- but maybe that will be too much of a burden for your build
machine.

Hi,
In r12359 ${PORTSDIR} was removed a bit too agressively. I haven't yet had
time to fix this in the branches.
You can apply the following patch

I cannot reproduce this on my 11-current. What version are you using? -- is
everything else up to date?

Hi Ralf
The whole KDE Frameworks builds fine on 9.3 :) -- Plasma on the other hand
not (for example kscreenlocker uses SOCK_CLOEXEC which is only available
from 10.0 on)

I meant of course a bit more of the output :) -- but nevermind that. Could
you please check if you

Yes it has been solved by that -- but if kdepimlibs4 has not ben updated
since then, this could still happen.

Hi
Yes, it seems that you have sysutils/baloo installed, and it reads a header
from that ( /usr/local/include/baloo/file.h) -- given it's location, it is
not even
sysutils/baloo from the plasma5 brach.
Could you try to deinstall sysutils/baloo and see if the build workds then?

Hi Matthias
xsnow is vry old. You might have more luck giving xdecorations [1] a
go.
Attached is a rough port for x11/xdecorations.

No, I never gave xsnow itself a shot (I only found xdecorations after a
google search for xsnow+kde).

Hi Matthias
Maybe I misunderstand you, but konsole has the link-feature too.
Profile Options -> Mouse -> Underline Links
They are not coloured, but underlined if you hover them. A right click will
alow you to open them in your browser or copy the address.

Hi Ramiro
First of all, thanks for giving it a go :)
1) You should not need to use any foo-git ports (the only needed one
is devel/kdevel-pg-qt-kf5).
But if you do, then create a local distfile by issuing
# make -DKDE_GIT_FETCH makesum
Unfortunately the distfile seems to change (even
Thanks
should be fixed with r11456 (x11/plasma5-plasma-workspace now depends on it)

Hi,
Did you deinstall attica, as mentioned in point 3) of the README?
[You can reinstall it from plasma5 branch]
The error message you get is kde4's atticas headers being picked up,
instead of
kf5-atticas.

Hi
Here's a short instruction on how to build and run the newest
and fanciest kde desktop.
1) Clone the plasma5 branch of area51 to a directory of your chosing
# svn co http://area51.pcbsd.org/branches/plasma5
2) Run kdemerge -a on it
# plasma5/Tools/scripts/kdemerge -a
Hi
attached is a reworked patch for the PYQT-folder, to bring it to
sip 4.16.5, pyqt 4.11.3 and qscintilla 2.8.4.
It's a lot shorter than the last one, as the @dirrm stuff is already done.
(poudriere seemed to like it, take it for what it's worth).
