Compiling and using digiKam under Windows (as MACOS-X) take a while to
stabilize code.
Under Windows, digiKam is suitable to 90%. It still some important

with version 1.01 the make replacement jom now also works with the
makefiles cmake generates for mingw.
Please test this version (available by running emerge --target=101 jom)
and tell me if it works under your compilers (msvc2010, msvc2008,
