You should get a SourceForge account and ask JB for commit access. Then you
can update the translation whenever you want.

The Oxygen team should concentrate on adding missing icons, not creating new
icons for apps that already have nice looking new icons (the ones that were
already created).
Who cares whether celluloid film is dead or not? It works as an icon.

regarding the icon, i think the best way to proceed is to ask the oxygen
icon team to create a new icon for kdenlive. Nuno Pinheiro
(http://pinheiro-kde.blogspot.com) who is one of the team, made a few
icon for oss projects using kde and I'm sure he will help us with a
professional looking icon
Just FYI:
I just merged all new strings into the translation files and also already
partially updated the German translation.
I think with the new Kdenlive release expected at May 28, we should finish
updating the translations by Mai 27.

I vote for #4. As I said in an earlier mail, I think the contest should be
announced via KDE News (maybe along with the release announcement).
Regarding translations: I hope this mail ensures no further string changes
until the release to have time to update the translations.

As you probably noted, a new MLT version 0.4.0 was released. It does not work
with the latest Kdenlive release, so I think we need to make a new Kdenlive
release soon.
I will try to see if there are some major bugs around, and hope that we can

makes no sense to introduce a "temporary" icon only to
change it immediately thereafter. It's like introducing
a new icon with each new release.
