Can not find a simple audio equalizer

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
Where can I find a simple audio equalizer? What do I have to do to get some basic equalizer for audio correction? This is something that is absolutely needed for every cut and should be available without having to go to the mailing list... Thanks again.

Stop Playhead and go to last start position

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
This is an incredibly useful feature I know from some other software and it makes finding cut points much easier: stop the playhead, then jump back to the last position, where playback started. This can be done by adding a marker to every start position, but this is not the real thing and

Re: Real-time multitrack editing with keyboard track switching?

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
thanks for your hint, it is not quite the same as I described but comes quite close. A cut performed this way still leaves a lot of room to manually clean up, what is ok, but it would be better if there existed a more high level semantic of "change active track". BTW re crash course -

Can I lock clips individually, not only tracks?

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
Locking a whole rack makes sense in a certain state of editing. But to get to that state, one will work a lot on individual clips - but I do not see any way to lock the individual clip after work on that clip has been done and the editor wants to prevent accidentally doing anything to that clip,

does kdenlive offer any scripting capabilities / programming api?

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
I am using the latest 19.08.1 and I can see no "processing audio" message. Also the final message disappears after a few seconds, so you can guess that something happened if you remember the position of clips exactly - not really usable with more than ten clips... Re "no feedback means no error" -

Real-time multitrack editing with keyboard track switching?

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
OK, so I found the multicam view, it shows me multiple tracks in the monitor, very nice! Also I was able to align all clips on all tracks, thanks to the great audio alignment feature and because Eugen told me the secret of how to move clips by frames with the keyboard. Now everything is ready for

I never see "processing audio" in the status bar. The only message I see there during the whole process is "Audio analysis finished" after selecting "Set Audio Reference". andres, what version are you running? On Sun, Sep 22, 2019 at 8:31 PM andres tello wrote: > Maybe I'm to used to linux

Maybe I'm to used to linux style of: If work is done, no message needed... If there is no 'processing audio' at the status bar, then is done. If there is no alignment of the video, then it failed. On Sun, Sep 22, 2019 at 2:21 PM Alistair Riddoch wrote: > It's surprising to the user if a

It's surprising to the user if a process is running in the background that will alter the timeline once it completes, but gives no visual indication that it is running. If you change to another workspace while this is happening, how can you tell whether the process is still running, or whether it

Re: Align to Audio does not show processing status in GUI

2019-09-22 Thread DogFilm
Yes, it is running in the background, that is the reason why the GUI needs a visual feedback about the current status of that process because the user can not understand what is happening in the background. You can find this pattern in many applications and it is good practice to implement this

Thanks for the quick answer! Yes, of course I do that, too - however for control I loop a clip zone and moving the clip by mouse is never as precise as needed. So I guess that feature simply is not available in Kdenlive? It is NOT possible to move clips by frame / second with a keyboard shortcut?

Do you first set the audio reference? The audio reference task is done at background and at the status bar, left bottom corner it says... When you align the track, it moves... and you can clearly can see when it moves.. and while doing the analysis, again there is the status bar at left bottom...
