You can apply filters to a track. When I'm in a similar situation, I put all
the clips that need the effect on the same track and then apply the effect to
that track. It can save some time that way.

This is the commit for the fix (Feb 20):
https://github.com/mltframework/mlt/commit/4fd6c14958ac5bd739c8d2b66b86cbf99ae68c23
It was released in MLT 0.90 (June 2):
https://github.com/mltframework/mlt/releases/tag/v0.9.0
The sunab kdenlive-release PPA has MLT versions for both 0.90 and 0.88:

The patch looks good. I committed it.

I am referring to the v0.9 "stable" branch.
See here in the "heads" list:

Has anyone done an assessment of what it would take to get master working
without reverting all the refactor changes? I would predict that if you revert
the refactor, and keep making changes to master, they will diverge and the
refactor changes will never be able to be reapplied. I did a quick a
Hey Team,
Today I was inspired to have a look at git master to see how things are
progressing. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10. I used the build script found here:
https://raw.github.com/mltframework/mlt-scripts/master/build/build-kdenlive.sh
For anyone else who wants to try it, you have to create a "bu

One clarification: The build succeeded on Fedora 17. It failed on Ubuntu 11.10
and 12.04.

Hi,
I've been inspired to add support in Kdenlive for more of the producers in MLT.
Right now, you can make color clips and you can use the generator plugin to
create a noise and count down clip. But MLT exposes some other producers: like
the Frei0r test patterns. And I'd like to add some audio

It really depends on your use case.

I have submitted a patch for your consideration:

It adds a date column to the project tree view. I hope you find it useful.
Thanks for your consideration,

The patch doesn't add any new translatable strings. Nonetheless, I
Developers,
I have created a patch for Kdenlive that adds support for the new MLT Dynamic
Text Filter to the effect stack.
The patch and a screenshot are here:
http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2324
I hope you will consider it for inclusion in Kdenlive.
Kind regards,
~Brian
