Actually I hadn't set the install_prefix for my system, that's why I was
having this issue. But now it's installed correctly.
And do I still
od that frameworks branch is going to
be merged with master and then removed. If that is the case, which
branch should I work on while working on some beginner patches that
Vincent suggested?

https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive
third
command to install and I got:
"--Installing: /share/kxmlgui5/kdenlive/kdenliveui.rc"

I have configured and build the Kdenlive (branch: origin/frameworks).
Is there any specific point from where do I begin?

Last year I've participated in GSoC in GNU Dr. Geo, developed in GTK+.
I'm already building Kdenlive on my distro, Ubuntu 14.04. And I wanted
to know whether it will be alright for the purpose or are we targeting
Vivid?

That's good.
How can I contribute as a developer?

Is Kinetic Typography possible in Kdenlive?
If it does not, does Kdenlive has the scope that it can support this feature?
