Hi everyone,
I've just seen these emails and wanted to give some feedback on the mockups.
Here how I think it could look like, based on last proposition from JB :

I tried removing the CMakeCache.txt file, and cmake tells me it found
QtOpenGL, But I still get the same errors (tried after a "make clean" same
result).
So back to step one...

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to compile the Kdenlive trunk after upgrading Ubuntu to version
11.04, and I'm getting the following linking errors :

Hi,
I just added support for the LADSPA 1197 effect (15 band equalizer). Here's
the xml file, and the patch making the required changes to CMakeLists and
initeffects.cpp. I also changed the "Equalizer" effect name to "3 band
equalizer".
Could someone check this is ok and commit if it is so ? Tha

I suppose there is a reason for this (maybe something to do with jack ?),
but it looks like this bit of code could be cleaned up and automated.

Hi Dan,
I've just moved in a new flat, and have no internet access at home for a few
days. I'll hopefully have it back by this week-end.
Just one thing : you said to use the mbeq 1197 ladspa plugin for the
equalizer in order to get more frequencies, but from what I remember it's
already that plug

Does anyone disagree with this ?

PS : and congrats everyone for the amazing work that has gone into Kdenlive

I've tested it quite a bit, and it doesn't crash like it did previously.
Seems to be as stable as the previous red rectangle. One thing that is a bit
bothering is that when playing the timeline, there's a little "jump" when it

Hi,
Concerning the blog, I can't create any new content. I also agree it should
be more visible. It's a good idea having a lot of info about Kdenlive on the
first page, but it's more fitting for an "institutionnal" website than for a
community website (which is what kdenlive.org is supposed to be)
Hi,
Considering the installed help, I'm not sure it should be a criteria for

Hi,
Well personnaly I make install MLT and Kdenlive (and frei0r)... As MLT is
only used by Kdenlive, and both just get more stable and full-featured (well

Unfortunately the LADSPA plugins website is down, so no documentation is
available for those effects...

Do you mean left/right stereo balance ? I don't think there's such an effect
available in Sox or Ladspa... Would probably have to be done directly with
MLT...

Thanks ! Seems to work fine for me.
Strange thing about the icon, though. After going through cmake/make/install
the icon was copied correctly to the installation folder. Is the icon listed
in the copied icons when you run make install ?

Hi everyone,
I thought would look into the effects list in order to give more detailed
information about the effects and maybe reorganize things a little, see what
effects work, which ones don't etc.
I went through all the SOX and LADSPA audio effects, and here are a few

Hi,
Here's a patch that enables automatic audio split when inserted a clip (same
as what is done by default in Premiere or Vegas for instance). It adds a
button in the taskbar to enable/disable as well as the same option in the
Misc section of Kdenlive settings. I made a little icon which I includ
Right it works better now ! Thanks.
I'll send a patch to the mailing list as soon as I get undo/redo to work
correctly with the automatic audio split.

Hi all,
I am working on adding the option to have automatic audio/video split when
adding a clip to the timeline. Everything works fine, except that I want to
add a button to toggle it on or off, right next to the button for. My
problem is that I can't figure out how to add a new icon that will be

Hi everyone,
I was looking round the Mantis reports and there are 582 reports :

Some of the reports are nearly two years old, quite a lot are awaiting an

OpenShot recently added the possibility to import Kdenlive projects but it
simply adds the whole project as a clip, so it's not quite as useful as what
you suggest. I haven't had a look at the openshot file format, but it most
likely would also be an xml file, so converting between one format and t

Hi everyone,
I've been using Kdenlive and following closely it's development, and now at
last I've got myself a development environnement and I started tinkering
with the code.
To start simple I had a look at what little tweaking I coulf to in the
interface. I made a little patch that replaced th
