I think that since kmail and blender are executed by the same user, with the
same privileges, and depending on what the exact problem is, it may not be easy
preventing blender from disturbing kmail.

This may well be a kdepimlibs bug, as commenting out the method in
/usr/share/dbus-1/org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Resource.xml allows kdepimlibs to

They changed the tags here and also switched to mime types.
