This seems to me to be related to bug #316840.

I have now dug deeper into this bug and even been able to solve it on my
systems: It turns out that I actually did have some calendar entries using the

I changed all kmail preferences to Default and I also tried the same settings
from my desktop on my laptop but that didn't work either. I decided to update
from kde 4.10.3 to 4.10.4 hoping that
