The thing is, "Local folders" (the root folder) cannot be selected under normal
circumstances.
Am I right thinking you deleted your akonadi database and reconfigured
everything?

Fair point. I'd forgotten that it is configurable. Thank you. Setting it as I
want does make it work the way I want.
However, those messages/templates in the "Local folders" folder still can't be
