Setting XDG_DATA_HOME seems to have had no effect.
But a workaround that avoids the crash: disconnect from network, launch Akr,
let it run for 10 seconds or so, then reconnect network, Akr does not crash.

Also, in Settings / Configure Akregator / Advanced you set Archive Backend to
"No archive" instead of "Metakit", the setting reverts back the next time you

In fact, even moving up and down through items in feed does not change them
