I think this is still valid and should be implemented in Kmail2. MS Outlook has
this feature and if you are used to using that you would expect it in Kmail.

It is extra security, especially for business and/or formal emails. Even with
the auto spell checking there is still the chance you will click 'send' before
making the corrections
