Summary: Kmail does not handle suspend/resume cycles Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Debian testing OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: fred...@witherden.org Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Upon suspending a system (I've tried a Debian laptop and a Gentoo desktop system) Kmail does not take the opportunity to close up any outstanding connections. When the system is later resumed Kmail becomes dead in the water -- no network operations like checking/fetching mail work. It takes around 5 minutes for Kmail to realize the connection has timed out. Exiting and opening Kmail up again fixes the problem. Kmail should either respond appropriately to suspend/resume events or be more aggressive when it comes to reinstating lost network connections. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
