Sorry, I'm still using the same version of kmail. I can say I managed to solve
this particular problem after I cleaned some of the configuration files
(akonadi's and/or kmail's) and recreated them. I

I think that since kmail and blender are executed by the same user, with the
same privileges, and depending on what the exact problem is, it may not be easy
preventing blender from disturbing kmail.
