for some reason i'm unable to use your workaround...
i've logout from kde (just to make sure taht nothing from akonadi is working).
then i've removed: ~/.kde/share/config/akondi*, ~/.local/share/akonadi

i've faced the same problem with kdepimlibs-4.7.2, so it's not the problem.
