https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314598 --- Comment #1 from Ronan Dunklau --- In fact, as other have pointed out, the issue seems to lie with an openssl upgrade. I was using openssl-1.0.1c with kmail 4.9, and simultaneously upgraded to kmail4.10 and openssl-1.0.1d. Reverting back to kmail 4.
