            Bug ID: 422410
Summary: EWS resource uses 100% CPU when its target server
                    becomes inaccessible
           Product: Akonadi
           Version: 5.14.1
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: EWS Resource
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect my vpn (fortisslvpn) to join my work network
2. Start kontact. Retrieve my Exchange mails
3. Disconnect the VPN

OBSERVED RESULT

After a few minutes, two processes (akonadi_ews_resource and http.so) start to
use permanently a lot of CPU. E.g.:

84.2%cpu : http.so [kdeinit5] https
local:/run/user/1000/klaunchergmjaHQ.1.slave-socket
local:/run/user/1000/akonadi_ews_resource_1jeKEmF.20.slave-socket
47.1%cpu : akonadi_ews_resource --identifier akonadi_ews_resource_1

I have to stop akonadi for my laptop temperature go down.

EXPECTED RESULT

EWS resource should stay quiet even if its server becomes unavailable?
