Summary: Link(Merge) Receive,Send Accounts and Identities Product: kmail Version: 1.12.2 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: peeb...@gmail.com Version: 1.12.2 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 178", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.29-0.1-default In the present settings interface and mail send-receive interfaces, there seems to be a tenuous weak link between identity and accounts. But the Receive and Send accounts feel to be unrelated. I do not know any situation where receive and send accounts need to be different. In opera, each account has a send and receive server and send-receive preferences. That organizes multiple mail accounts more neatly than kmail does presently. The purpose and role of identity now is also not very clear. It would be nice and better organized if accounts are organized around identities. Each identity will have it's own receive and send configuration. And it's own folders inherited from a skeleton. All these folders can be virtual folders and filters to mails in a set of central common folders which need not be shown in the folders list. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
