Summary: "connection to account ... was broken" when syncing dir after deleting many emails Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS/Version: unspecified Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: disconnected IMAP AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: m...@milianw.de Version: (using KDE 4.3.3) Installed from: Archlinux Packages Hello! I have a serious problem with DIMAP and KMail: After I deleted a few thousand mails from one of my folders (enabled expiration) I cannot sync it anymore. It checks properly for new mail but as soon as it tries to upload anything I get "connection to account ... was broken". The progress bar for the job shows "aborted". I asked my host since I suspected that it's their fault but they could not find anything related. So my impression is that KMail does either a) something inefficient that makes the host block access (though retrieving and syncing of other folders works fine). b) the delete-transaction is too big and hits a limit on the side of my hoster (either need to work around in kmail or tell me what setting my hoster has to increase). c) anything else :) If you give me more details, i.e. places in sources to patch for debug information (kdebugdialog did not help) I'll happily oblige. PS: I tried rebuilding the index, rebuilding the cache and nothing works for this folder. My hoster also cleaned the cache which did not help either. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
