This bug is caused by my IMAP accound at SDF-EU.ORG.
The account is peculiar for having shared folders:
#ftp/,#news.,#public/,#shared/

Some workaround: I instructed KMail to show only subscribed folders for the
IMAP account. This reduced the number of EMFILEs to 2 and Kontact did not
crash.
