Summary: no longer possible to extract SpamAssassin-encapsulated message Product: kmail2 Version: Git (master) Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: j...@keelhaul.me.uk Created an attachment (id=63463) --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=63463) Test message Version: Git (master) (using Devel) OS: Linux SpamAssassin forwards suspected spam emails with a preview and description in the message body, and the original message as an attachment of type message/rfc822. Using KMail from KDE3, if a message was wrongly detected as spam by SA it was possible to view the original message attachment by clicking on it, and then use the viewer's context menu "Copy Message To" to move it back into the inbox so recovering the original message. Now it appears that this is no longer possible. Clicking on the attachment prompts to either "Save as", "Open with KMail view" or "open with". Clicking "Open with Kmail view" does a bit of disc activity and then puts up the message box "The file does not contain a message". The attachment can be dragged to either the desktop or a Dolphin window, but not to the inbox folder or anywhere else in Kmail (the "no entry" cursor is shown). RMB - View on the attachment opens it in a viewer window, but this has no context menu so nothing can be done. >From the message structure viewer, RMB - View over the attachment does exactly the same as above. In the viewer, the "Encapsulated message" header appears to be a link, but clicking on it or using RMB - Open URL does nothing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: View a message with a message/rfc822 attachment. Try to do something useful with the attached message. Actual Results: Impossible to extract the encapsulated message. Expected Results: Should be possible to extract it, as in KDE3. This is a local (not IMAP) maildir folder. Attached is a test message that demonstrates this problem. It has been sanitised for personal information and is safe to open. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get the original message into the inbox or any other folder. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
