Nepomuk facilitates quite a bit more than autocompletion (aka the semantic
desktop). In KDE we like that functionality and and integration, so we build on
tools for that - and

I don't need or want any of the (other) features it provides.
It does harm me, because it sucks battery, CPU and RAM on my laptop.

Please make sure nepomuk is running.
There are problems with autocompletion in kmail composer KDE 4.8, but if you
are using KDE 4.7 it should work afaik.

There appears to be an almost unnoticeable tick box next to the name of the
addressbook, ticking this makes the content show up, but I still don't have
auto
