I am trying to configure an InterMapper server (see http://www.intermapper.com) to test the status of our kerberos server. I asked the InterMapper developers if they knew anything about it and they said that they didn't. They asked if there was a straightforward packet or TCP exchange that would test if the server is functional. Do any of you know?

If not, I will open this question to the InterMapper-Talk list to see if
there's a shortcut to testing a server without implementing the entire
Kerberos protocol.
