I feel like I'm sooo close yet so far. I'm trying to avoid using a Domain
controller at all, and just setting up authentication at windows login to
authenticate against my already existing linux KDC. I have setup the machine
password, user mappings, realm setting, etc. on the Windows Machines (1 XP
and 1 2000) using ksetup, and setup the proper principals (both host and
user) on the linux side. When I try to login to the realm from one of the
workstations, the auth.log shows that the both windows machine and user are
authenticating PROPERLY against the kerberos realm. However, I still get a
login error on the windows side. After turning on login loggin' (he he) it
shows a Failure code 537 "An unexpected error occurred during login" in the
event viewer on the clients (both XP and 2000). (such a descriptive error
message) my kerberos principal user "ken" is properly mapped on the windows
machines to the account "ken". Has anyone seen this error? Does anyone know
what I'm missing???

Thanks!!
