Possible to build kernel on Fedora 36?

I just tried to use Fedora 36 workstation to rebase an out-of-tree kernel module, and I hit the array bounds checking that is discussed here[1]. Is there any workaround that will allow me to build an upstream kernel on Fedora 36? TIA [1] https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20220414150855.2407137-1-di
