I was having the same issue after I had to hard reset on system lockup
on 3.15.1 mainline.
cat /var/log/pm-suspend.log revealed the following.

looks like the issue I was having has nothing to do with the update.

Another problem I encountered with this "easy" workaround is that my wireless
usb frequently disconnects and needs to be restarted (I made a little script to
restart network-manager when I can not ping the gateway).
This disconnects do not happen when I comment out "options snd-hda-intel
vid=80

USB 3.0 cameras dont work prop
This issue still occurs in the latest version of kernel for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as
of date. (ie. 3.2.0-65)

I have tested and confirmed that this issue can be recreated, not only
