screen does not come back after sleep. Backlight comes on but blank
screen. Alt+f1 to console works. From there restart lightdm and all is

I just upgraded on my Gigabyte U2442V to kernel 3.15.5 on Ubuntu 14.04.
No luck. Still showing as PS/2 Elantech Touchpad in xinput, no

x86.

I'm on ubuntu 14.04, i'll try to find out the other stuff
I did get one error message during the kernel install but it referred to
nvidia-304 which i assume to be GPU related (once the touchpad is sorted

the discrete video card

I am at a loss for what to do to even Identify the problem since with
14.04 update 3.13.0-27 generic I do not even get to a screen I can do anything
with. I simply get software restarts.
I have tried several things over the weeks with no remedy.

I have a similar or the same problem with my Windows Server 2008 R2
virtual machines. The virtual machine stops with a Blue Screen error
101, clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor. The

Title:
Keyboard does not work in Generation 2 Hyper-V VM's when
I need to amend comment #39, moving from 3.13.0-30 to 3.13.0-27 did not
eliminate the problem. It would seem that it takes a couple of hours
following a reboot for the symptoms to manifest with 3.13.0-27.
