I've built a system to reproduce the bug. You can download the image and
run it with KVM or other virtualization technology. Instructions are
straightforward – if you start the VM, you'll know what to do, and

I built one more test kernel with this patch. However, the value of
PORT_ENABLE_WAIT was increased to 8000. The test kernel can be downloaded from:

Can you test that kernel and report back if it has the bug or not?

I had the touchpad working with psmouse.proto=bare previously. If I add
i8042.noloop=1 psmouse.proto=bare then it works as a ps2 mouse while
registering as the focaltech device. :
dmesg is attached, snipped to the first few occurences of Failed to
enable mouse.

I'm currently running linux 3.13.0-39 on trusty with a disks plugged
into an Intel C602 SATA/SAS controller. Occasionally, a timeout and/or
SAS event (I'm not 100% sure which..) isn't handled properly ('Unhandled
error code') and the kernel gets a bit upset.

I have seen mentions of isci and libsas getting timeout fixes, and I
know that 3.18 is using newer libsas and isci code than we have in 3.13.
